Ashleigh Howard is a photographer living in Vermont. Her work examines
the elements of land, body, and psyche as pertaining to experience and
memory. She is fueled by a potency in both the eerie and ethereal, and
shaping emotional narratives that often wander the landscapes of fact,
metaphor, and constructed reality.
'Come Back Home' is about my history. It is about my mother, my mother's
mother, and her mother before her. The images of this project work
together as a compass to further understand addiction and
inter-generational wounding while giving a voice to my heritage and
absolve a deep yet imperfect love attached to its lineage.
