Christy Lorio is a New Orleans, LA based writer and photographer. Her
photographs have appeared in Color Tag Vol. III, Analogue Forever, and
the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, among other places. Her work primarily
deals with living with stage IV cancer in relation to the swamps she
grew up near. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The University
of New Orleans and is currently working on her MFA in Studio Art.
These photos were taken in Sedona, AZ, where I spent six weeks this past
summer. I made a continuation of landscape and a few self-portraits,
which is in contrast to the Louisiana swamps that I usually make
photographs in.
